New Partner at Wenger Plattner

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Dirk Spacek joins our partnership in the IP/IT & Data Protection Practice Group on  July 1, 2026. He brings with him many years of experience and extensive expertise in technology, IT, cyber security, intellectual property and data protection law. This appointment marks an important milestone in Wenger Plattner's ongoing development, ensuring that we can continue to provide our clients with first-class advice and sustainable success.

Dirk Spacek is partner and advises Swiss and international companies on complex issues at the intersection of technology, law and business, particularly regarding data-driven business models and regulatory matters. His expertise includes intellectual property law, regulation of digital platforms and media, entertainment, e-commerce, outsourcing, cloud and IT-contracts, data protection and cybersecurity. He also advises SMEs and startups on general contract management (external legal services) and supports technology-related M&A transactions. Another focus is advising and representing clients in technically complex commercial disputes. He regularly represents clients before state courts and is a certified mediator with the ITDR (Institution for IT and Data Dispute Resolution). His long background as a musician informs his understanding of creative processes in innovation-driven industries.
