The regular Lawyer's Day of the Bernese Bar Association BAV elected our partner colleague Dr. Fritz Rothenbühler as its new president in May 2013.
The regular Lawyer's Day of the Bernese Bar Association BAV elected our partner colleague Dr. Fritz Rothenbühler as its new president in May 2013. Fritz Rothenbühler had already been a board member of the BAV since 2007, serving as vice president in recent years. Fritz Rothenbühler is primarily active in the following areas of law: restructuring and insolvency law, corporate law and M&A, real estate law, and banking law. He also advises private clients. In these areas, he also conducts litigation as a lawyer. As the new BAV president, Fritz Rothenbühler heads one of the largest cantonal bar associations in Switzerland with around 700 members. He has placed his presidency under the motto "Dialogue - Continuing Education - Commitment" and is committed to creating progressive conditions for the legal profession, as well as ensuring good education and training and high-quality standards for lawyers in the interest of clients. Since 2003, Fritz Rothenbühler has also been a member of the supervisory authority of the Canton of Bern for lawyers. In this role, he is committed to ensuring that lawyers adhere to their professional duties and that there is strong supervision of the legal profession in the interest of those seeking justice.
